We ask you to become a partner in our mission to strengthen and enhance Torah study in Boston. Please join the Ma'ayan Circle of Friends for 2008.
MA'AYAN is Boston's premier Jewish women's study institute dedicated to the intensive study of traditional texts. Now in its sixteenth year, Ma'ayan offers a broad range of high-quality classes for women of varying backgrounds and interests. It also sponsors Y'mei Iyun, lectures and seminars, open to both men and women, which have become important community-wide events.
Ma'ayan's accomplishments have been recognized and its influence felt far beyond Boston. Ma'ayan and its former director, Debbie Kram, were awarded the 1996 Charlotte Bloomberg Award. Rabbi Seth Farber, founding director, and Debbie Kram accepted the 1996 Keter Torah Award from the Boston Bureau of Jewish Education in recognition of our program's innovation and excellence. Ma'ayan has become a national prototype for women's learning initiatives.
The Circle of Friends was established to ensure the continuity of Ma'ayan's programming. It is composed of people who understand and value Ma'ayan's critical importance to the Jewish community and commit financial support to Ma'ayan on a yearly basis. The Circle of Friends campaign is Ma'ayan's major source of funding. Your contribution helps to pay for faculty salaries, resource material, scholarship assistance, facility rental, and administrative costs that cannot be covered by tuition alone.
