Be part of an international learning effort as women from all over the world study the entire Talmud. In Sharon, Yoetzet Halacha Sarah Cheses will be covering the 2nd Perek of Masechet Rosh Hashana in her class “Uncovering New Ideas about the New Moon.” This class will take place at Young Israel of Sharon @ 8 pm on Mondays. Also, starting this Monday, In Brookline, Dr. Yael Jaffe will be teaching the 4th Perek of Masechet Rosh Hashana in her class “The Unique Musaf Shmone Esrei of Rosh Hashana” @ 8 pm. These classes are for women only. If you cannot attend either of these classes and wish to be a part of the learning in preparation for the international siyum (and Boston’s siyum on Masechet Rosh Hashana) on January 5th, email director@maayan.org asking for an assignment of a daf for yourself or a group of friends to form your own chabura.

On Tuesday, at 8 pm at Shaloh House in Brighton, Rachel Sharansky Danziger will be giving her class “The Art of Cleaving: Love Stories in the Bible.” Rachel is a fantastic educator and has a talent for weaving texts together. I highly recommend you check out her class. This class is open to women only.

Wednesday mornings at 8:30 in Brookline, Sabrina Burger is back with her Parenting through the Parsha class. If you haven’t had a chance to study with Sabrina, now is the time, as she begins with Bereshit, taking lessons from the weekly parsha and helping students apply them to their interactions with their family. This class is for women only, and this is a full-year class.

Rounding out our week, on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm, Rabbi Benjamin Samuels will be teaching “Standing on One Foot: Essential Jewish Values and Core Ideas.” This class will take place at Shaarei Tefillah in Newton. It is always a delight to learn with Rabbi Samuels. This class is open to women and men.
