Bat Mitzvah Program

A mother-daughter learning journey

I loved the program because it was 2 hours, without interruption, that I spent with my daughter and learned. This was very special for me.

— Program Participant

Our Bat Mitzvah class takes place every other year. The class is open to mothers with daughters who are in 5th-7th grades.

About the Program

The Mother-Daughter Bat Mitzvah Program introduces a variety of role models, offering young women (5th-7th grade) many paradigms of Jewish women.

Each session includes text study and a creative component, engaging mother and daughter experientially through a variety of modalities, including drama, art, and music.

This program was created by MaTan, the Sadie Rennert Women's Institute for Torah Studies in Jerusalem, and Ma'ayan has been offering the program since 2006.

We invite you to join the growing community of mother-daughter pairs across Israel, North America and beyond who have participated in this meaningful program.

Wonderful opportunity to learn with my daughter and spend quality time with her as she matures.

— Mother

I loved it because we learned a lot about inspiring Jewish women.
